Description
The KMR 1550 B is a fully hydraulic, petrol-powered ride-on vacuum sweeper for cleaning large outdoor areas. It operates on the modern overthrow principle, i.e. sweepings are thrown over the roller brush into the waste container situated behind it. The key benefits of this technology are: Efficient filling of waste container, full capacity is utilised. Compact construction for excellent control. Beverage cans, bottles and other large items can be collected by opening the bulk waste flap. Front wheel steering for car-like response so that no special driver training is required as in the case of rear wheel steered sweepers.

TECHNICAL DESCRIPTION:

Drive:
Two-cylinder, water-cooled OHV industrial four-stroke engine with electric starter (11.8 kW/16 bhp), revolution throttled for extra long life.
Infinitely variable forward and reverse hydraulic travel drive.

Sweeping mechanism:
Roller brush (950 mm wide) with chevron-pattern bristles is suspended in floating mounts so that it adjusts automatically to compensate for wear and uneven surfaces. There is a fixed setting for sweeping smooth surfaces. Driven by hydraulic motor with automatic shutdown when brush is raised.

Quick change facility for main roller brush.
Side brush (550 mm diameter) swings out automatically during operation, floating mount for protection against knocks and damage. Driven via hydraulic motor. Pedal-operated bulk waste flap for collecting stones,beverage cans, pieces of wood and metal.

Waste container:
Robust sheet-steel container with theoretical capacity of 180 litres, actual usable capacity is approx. 160 litres / 250 kg.
Hydraulic container lift, infinitely variable up to 1450 mm, for emptying directly into refuse skip.

Application
The petrol version of the KMR 1550 is designed for sweeping large outdoor areas.

Powerful drive enables unit to sweep on gradients up to 25%.

The unit operates for about 5 hours on one tankful. Depending on operating conditions, this is sufficient to sweep between 30,000 and 50,000 m² (50 - 80% of theoretical sweeping capacity).

The KMR 1550 is used by local governments, industry as well as contract cleaners, etc.
